Pump output flow adjustment (flow control)
Pump Regulators and Adjusting Screws
Adjust the flow rate of pump 1 and perform flow control. Pump 2 must be idling.
1. Loosen the locknut (2).
2. Turn the adjusting screw (3) to adjust the pump output flow. Turning the adjusting screw (3) clockwise will increase the pump output flow. Turning the adjusting screw (3) counterclockwise will decrease the pump output flow. Turning the adjusting screw (3) 1/4 turn will change the pump output flow at the following pressures.
o Pump output flow change is approximately 19 L/min (5.0 US gpm) (if the output flow is regulated at 1650 rpm and 5000 kPa (725 psi)).
3. Tighten jam nut (2) to a torque of 22 ± 2 N m (16 ± 1.5 lb ft).
Adjust pump 2 in the same way as pump 1.
Adjustment of the maximum output flow of the pump
pump adjustment screw
Adjust the maximum output flow of pump 1.
1. Loosen the lock nut (7).
2. Turn the adjusting screw (8) to adjust the maximum output flow. Turning the adjusting screw (8) clockwise will reduce the maximum output flow of the pump. Turning the adjusting screw (8) counterclockwise will increase the maximum output flow of the pump. A 1/4 turn adjusting screw (8) will change the maximum output flow by approximately 3.4L/min (0.9USgpm).
3. Tighten the locknut (7) to a torque of 72±7N·m (53±5lbft).
Adjust the maximum output flow of pump 2 in the same way as pump 1.
